What Is an Order of Service?
A funeral order of service — sometimes called a mass card booklet or funeral programme — contains the order of ceremony, prayers or readings, hymn lyrics, a photograph of the deceased, and biographical details. It serves as a lasting keepsake for those who attend.
Formats and Sizes
The most common format is an A5 booklet — two A4 sheets folded to give four A5 pages, saddle-stitched. Available through our booklet printing service in Dublin. For longer ceremonies a 6-page or 8-page booklet gives more room. Single-folded A4 cards work well for shorter services.
Paper and Finish
170gsm or 200gsm cover card with a matte finish. Matte is more dignified than gloss and easier to read in church or crematorium lighting. Inner pages: 100gsm uncoated or 115gsm silk. We also offer laminating services for a more protected cover.
Turnaround Time
Most jobs turned around within 24 hours of receiving a confirmed file. Same day is possible — call to confirm. We also handle booklets for weddings and other life events requiring fast, careful turnaround.
